About us
Experienced healthcare quality professionals — not generalists.
Quality Health Advisors was founded by clinicians and quality professionals who spent years inside hospitals and skilled nursing facilities before becoming advisors. We know what it takes to move the needle because we've done it ourselves.
Our mission
Close the gap between where your facility is and where it needs to be.
Too many healthcare organizations are sitting on performance gaps they know exist but don't have the internal bandwidth or specialized expertise to close. CMS Star Ratings and Value-Based Purchasing scores aren't just report cards — they directly affect reimbursement, reputation, and the quality of care your patients receive.
Quality Health Advisors exists to bridge that gap. We bring the methodology, the data fluency, and the hands-on project management to turn identified opportunities into measurable, sustained improvement — without adding permanent overhead to your organization.
Evidence-based
Every recommendation we make is grounded in peer-reviewed research, CMS guidelines, and proven improvement science — not opinion.
Facility-first
We don't arrive with a generic playbook. Our work starts with understanding your specific measures, your team, and your culture.
Transparent
You'll always know where you stand. We track outcomes rigorously and report progress honestly — including when course corrections are needed.
Capability-building
Our goal is to leave your team stronger than we found it. Sustainable improvement means your staff owns the process long after our engagement ends.

Credentials
Alexandra Shumyatsky is a Doctor of Pharmacy and certified healthcare quality professional with deep expertise in quality outcomes, performance improvement, and clinical program development across acute care and post-acute settings.
She has led hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives targeting CMS Star Ratings, Value-Based Purchasing (VBP), Hospital-Acquired Condition (HAC), and Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program (HRRP) penalties — contributing to a reduction in CMS penalties of approximately $3 million and a 33% improvement in Star Rating raw score.
Her work spans Leapfrog Survey and Safety Grade oversight, gap analyses and benchmark reporting across CMS, Leapfrog, Healthgrades, U.S. News, and Lown Institute databases, and direct collaboration with executives, clinical leaders, and front-line staff to build lasting cultures of quality and safety.
Alexandra founded Quality Health Advisors to bring this same rigorous, data-informed approach to skilled nursing facilities and hospitals that need a trusted partner — not a vendor — to close performance gaps and build lasting quality programs.
Let's talk about your facility's performance goals.
Whether you're looking to improve your Star Rating, strengthen your quality program, or build a data-driven performance culture — we're ready to help.
